Each edition is unlocked by a cryptographically signed license key. A license can tailor capacity — custom seat counts, record bands, extra engines or features — to your deployment, and carries its own expiry.
Your record band carries 10% headroom, always. We never bill per record and we never block a load mid-flight — if you outgrow a band we true it up at renewal, pro-rated, and tell you before you get there.
If a key is missing or lapses, MDM Studio falls back to the Community edition rather than locking you out. Your data and deployment stay intact — you simply run at Community limits until a key is in place.
